About us

Dynamic Driving School is one of the most technologically advanced driving schools in Canada. We offer innovative Instruction on theoretical and practical aspects of driving.

We offer the ICBC approved Graduated Licensing Program.

Our Philosophy

Safety & Responsibility are at the core of all our Driver Training Programs.

We believe that driver training should take place in vehicles incorporating up-to-date technological developments.

We use all sorts of interactive devices and new technologies, as we feel that the best way to learn anything is by having fun. Our classes are actually quite entertaining, which leads to a higher retention of the content learned.

We will help you acquire excellent driving skills, so you can become a safe and responsible driver.

Black Mini Cooper

The student is made to feel instantly comfortable and secure in our trademark Black Mini Cooper. Our vehicle has a specially modified learning interior.

The car has a wealth of safety features including six air bags, automated stability control plus traction (ASC+T), ABS, excellent torsional stiffness, rigid body and a sophisticated chassis including a multi-link rear axle and side impact protection. The Mini is engineered to ensure that the impact energy in a head-on collision is channeled around the passengers. These structural pathways include bumper, front longitudinal, A-pillar, door, sub-frame and floor. The Mini has managed to fulfil both highly stringent US and EU NCAP crash tests with an impressive 4-star rating.

On-board DVD & Video Monitor

Our trademark Black Mini Cooper is equipped with an on-board DVD player and video monitor. This is a very useful teaching aid as it helps address different driving scenarios on the spot.

By having this device installed in the car, students can much better relate to a given situation shown in a video. They can connect immediately to actual situations on the road, as they watch the video in the car, as a complement to the theory learned in the classroom.

Lag time between theoretical and practical learning is greatly reduced with this hands-on-approach . Once again we believe that this method leads to a better retention of the content learned.

Driving Simulator

We believe that the best way of learning in with a hands-on approach. For this purpose we have created our very own Driving Simulator.

Very much like a flight-simulator, our state-of-the-art Driving Simulator allows the student to experience a diverse range of driving circumstances under different road surface types and weather conditions. Students get to experience a feel for the physical forces involved in handling all of these situations.

Nicholas Goldminc

Dynamic Driving School owner and founder Nicholas Goldminc is a longtime resident of the North Shore and participant in many of its community programs.

A long time lover of all things, aeronautic & mechanized, Nick joined the 103 Thunderbird branch of the North Shore Air Cadets at the age of 13.

Prior to opening the Dynamic Driving School Nicholas was a successful instructor on the North Shore. He also was one of the very first driving instructors to gain accreditation for teaching the Graduated Licensed Program or GLP since its inception in 1998.

In 1996 he earned his pilot licence and then went on to earn his commercial pilot licence in 2000. He has since returned as a civilian flight & simulator instructor to the Air Cadets.

His pilot training has allowed him to apply innovative teaching techniques not usually used by traditional driving schools.
